Snow White has a deep history with the company, and we didnt want to lose that. Released in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the companys first feature-length film, and the story has played a central role in Disney theme parks. Across town, rival park operator Universal Studios Florida plans to open its Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts ride this summer. The attraction combines elements of a coaster, elaborate sets, 3-D film and special effects. Although its expected to be more intense than Disneys mine train, it also is aimed at families. Family rides are particularly important in this day and age, said Dennis Speigel, president of International Theme Park Services Inc., an industry consulting firm in Cincinnati. They get great reception no matter where they are. They tell a story, and the guests like to repeat, because you cant absorb it all on the first ride. Disneys mine train attraction was built on part of the location once occupied by the Magic Kingdoms 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage, a ride that closed 20 years ago. Disney called the new ride the centerpiece of a massive refurbishment and expansion of the Fantasyland section of the park. The attraction is built into a wooded hill, evocative of the mine entrance in the animated film. The line snakes into the hill where a long queue provides activities for parkgoers as they wait for the three-minute ride.

If you don't buy park tickets until you arrive at Disney World, or need to change your FastPass+ reservations, you can do so in two ways. Each park has a number of FastPass+ kiosks where you can make or change your reservations. Beware, the lines for these kiosks can be long. If you can, download the mobile app, which makes it possible to make and change reservations on the go, eliminating yet another line. FastPass+ experiences work the same way as the legacy system. Each FastPass+ comes with a window of time you will be allowed to enter the ride. Arrive at the ride during that timeframe, get on the FastPass+ queue and enjoy. Do I need to have a MagicBand ? You can use FastPass+ without purchasing a MagicBand. The old paper park tickets have been replaced with RFID plastic, credit-card type tickets that are scanned at FastPass+ kiosks and at ride queues.

NO." You guys know I'm not against Disney. I shell out $25 a pop for the DVDs and let you watch them ad nauseam. How many times have I played Anna because nobody wanted to be that wench? I even download the songs so you can hear them in the car so don't you dare say I'm anti-Disney. I don't hate fun, either. We go biking. Bake together. Walk to the park. I received a letter from the library letting me know that they're starting their summer reading program again (stickers!). I know that doesn't really compare to taking a photo with an 18-year-old actress stuffed into a Simba costume, but I'm doing what I can. Is it about money?

The sets will be transformed after the day shows are complete, Jackson-Randolph said. At night, "guests come in to what feels like an African savanna. They're looking at Pride Rock and in this tradition of the story circle, they become a part of the retelling of Simba's story," she said. A celebrity narrator will tell the story of Simba, the cub who would be king, each Saturday, beginning with actress Viola Davis on June 7. "The emotional journey that the film takes us and the world that film takes us into is the world that we literally re-create in the theater," Jackson-Randolph said. "We re-create that world through special effects." Food will be a major component of the event from beginning to end, even during the "Concert in the Wild," said Robert Gilbert, executive chef of catering operations for Walt Disney World. People entering the theater will receive a new concoction: "lion chow" consisting of candy pecans, sea salt-toasted chips, candied ginger, golden raisins and dried cherries, served in a bamboo sleeve. "As the guests are enjoying the show, they won't have the rustling of paper that you would otherwise get with a bag of chips or something like that," Gilbert said. For the outdoor dinner portion that follows the show, expect items such as watermelon goat cheese salad, butter chicken with basmati rice, golden pineapple with toasted coconut and naan bread, which will be grilled on stage.

Now, the charging parents and strollers must walk behind a human chain of Cast Members and management all the way to the queue of Princess Fairytale Hall -- the free-for-all is a thing of the past. Once the first guests reach the queue, the wait time quickly escalates to two hours or more, just a few minutes after the park opens. Avoid this with a FastPass+ for Anna and Elsa. By reserving a time to see the princesses well before your trip even begins, you'll be able to meet them with just a 10 or 15 minute wait -- and without the 4 AM wake-up call to camp out in front of the Magic Kingdom. Of course, even that FastPass+ can be hard to obtain. Your best bet is to book your stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel more than 60 days in advance of your stay. Resort guests can book their FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance.

Janet Porter Today she told listeners of her radio bulletin that the homosexual agenda is planning to once again descend on Disney World in Orlando, Florida to expose your children to far more than Mickey Mouse and Space Mountain. Porter advised that cross-dressing men will be among those parading public displays of perversion. Porter also praised the work of the Florida Family Association who plan to protest Gay Day by flying a banner across the park . When homosexual activists deliberately target thousands of children with their agenda parents should be given the chance to protect their youngsters, the group said in a statement. MyMagic+ is an exciting new way to experience the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation without the fuss. More FastPass+ is a great service if you havent tried it. Think of it just like normal FastPass, but with a bunch of extra features. Instead of hopping from attraction to attraction to pick up your FastPasses, and then returning later, you can plan your entire day with multiple FastPass+ picks before you even get to the parks. MORE: E verything you need to know about My Magic+ Now that may seem like a great idea for planning a family trip, but what about trying to coordinate a day with friends at the parks, where each person has his or her own My Disney Experience login? I recently gave that a try, and it works great and is super simple. I planned out an afternoon for a friend and me at Disneys Animal Kingdom about 30 minutes before heading out the door. The online system gave me three itinerary choices, of which I chose one for the both of us that included Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest and Kilimanjara Safaris.
